Located in a former Travel Agency, concrete floors and high ceilings are matched with vintage furniture and eco-consciousness designs. Ecomama is located in the beating heart of the city. At the end of the Right Lights District, on the corner of the Museum/University neighborhood & just around the corner of the Waterlooplein (and central station).

Ecomama Hotel
Valkenburgerstraat 124
1011 NA Amsterdam
The Netherlands

The beauty of Ecomama's location is when you walk 5 minutes in any direction, you'll hit and experience an entire different part of town. Each with its own vibe. No surprise Amsterdam is often referred to as the smallest metropolis of the world.

Surrounded by neighborhood cafés, restaurants and next door to world-renowned museums such as the Hermitage, Rembrandthuis, the botanical gardens and Artis Zoo.

For those budget-minded, pick up some cheap groceries in one of the local supermarkets or head over to the Waterlooplein for flea market finds. Both are just a 5-minutes stroll away from the hotel.

Public parking Waterlooplein is located 200 meters from the hotel. The address is Valkenburgerstraat 238, 1011 ND Amsterdam and open 24/7. You can reserve a parking spot on parking.nl for € 19 a day.

Metrostop Waterlooplein (metro 51, 53, 54) and Tramstop Mr. Visserplein (tram 9, 14) are located on a few minutes' walk from the hotel. A ticket can be purchased at one of the vending machines at the metro station or in the tram.

A one-hour ticket is € 2,80, but if you're planning to get around by public transportation, we'd recommend you to get the 24 hrs ticket, which is € 7,50. Don't forget to check-in and check-out each time you take a ride.

If you dare to take it on, we have Veloretti bikes at the hotel available for rent. No further explanation needed.

Amsterdam taxi drivers are a breed on its own. Some of them are nice, others not so much. Good to have cash at hand as not all taxi's accept credit cards, but you should be fine though when grabbing one at Schiphol Airport.

You can easily explore the city by foot from the hotel. We're that central. (And for those who travelled to Amsterdam before, you know it's the perfect city to do so. Enough said.)

Don't loose time at the airport by trying to figure out how those ticketing machines work or by waiting in line. Save time and buy your train ticket online. Click HERE to do so. See you on the other side.
